Our ambitions
Our short-term goal is to set up a regular seminar with like-minded people interested in economic history. Building a group around people who are genuinely motivated to turn up regularly matters more to us than the size of the audience, so we would rather do this slowly and well.
A longer-term goal is to build a workshop schedule on top of the seminar series: an afternoon with several papers from people associated with the seminar, organised once or twice a year, potentially at different locations.
We have many people on our list for whom travelling to Utrecht is an obstacle, and we understand that. Even so, we prefer to keep the seminar in person to keep a familiar and laid-back atmosphere.
